Garret Roberts is a Virginia native and has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 2011. He graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in Acting, minor in Dance, as well as a B.A. in Spanish. Since then, he's worked extensively at both Busch Gardens Williamsburg and King's Dominion as a performer, dancer, captain, stage manager, and choreographer. He is very involved in the Williamsburg Players community theater and has also choreographed for local school productions, as well as our spring MTTP I showcase, Pure Imagination.

Garret has a passion for movement and believes that the root of an effective performance comes from physicality. With a varied background in dance, he teaches students to connect with their own bodies, helping them discover, express, and share stories on stage and in day-to-day life.

We are excited to welcome Garret to the Centerstage theatre faculty this year as he joins forces with instructor April Grosskopf to co-teach our MTTP JR and MTTP I classes and co-direct their productions!
