Kaylee MacLuskie
Musical Theatre Instructor/Choreographer
Kaylee MacLuskie fell in love with theater in the cast of Centerstage's Seussical JR in 2012. Since then, she has performed in a multitude of other shows, both at Centerstage and at York High School. Her favorite role so far has been playing Maria in The Sound of Music (YHS, Spring 2022). Kaylee is also the Vice President of York High School's chapter of the International Thespian Society.
Kaylee has a colorful dance background of ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater training but is primarily an Open Champion competitive Irish dancer, as well as an experienced performance Irish dancer. Kaylee has also performed with Centerstage's Spotlight Performers during the holidays, in singing and dancing capacities, and she's choreographed for Centerstage shows including Willy Wonka JR (Spring 2022). Additionally, she enjoys playing the piano and guitar in her free time.
Kaylee is thrilled to be teaching Stage Explorers. "The fact that I'm helping to kindle excitement about theatre is incredible. Theatre has instilled so much empathy, compassion, and confidence in me. It's for everyone, young and old, and it's never too late to start, which makes it beautiful."
