Don't miss an experience that will take you to new heights!
The spotlight is on YOU!
Musical Theatre Technique & Production (MTTP) is designed for students who want a performance approach to musical theatre study with a focus on applied technique. This is an excellent choice for students wanting to express their creativity on stage, desiring to take their talent to the next level, or wishing to pursue their passion for musical theatre beyond school programs and into college and community theatre.
Develop your technique.
Students meet weekly to develop their musical theatre skills in the areas of acting, singing and dance. Whether you're just starting out or have a ton of performance experience, the instructor will challenge you to push ahead and reach your full potential. Audition workshops will prepare students for the individual auditions. The auditions will be for placement purposes; no cuts will be made; multiple casts with rotating leads are expected. Once casting is announced, students will be expected to learn their parts, memorize their scripts/songs, and be ready to apply their newly honed skills to the upcoming production!

Perform in a fully staged musical theatre production!
Once the show has been cast, weekly rehearsals and excitement grow! A rehearsal calendar will be posted once casting is in place - everyone in MTTP II may not be called for the entire rehearsal period. Details will be announced as confirmed, but the culminating performances will be a show-stopping production with amazing costumes, sets, lights and sound!

A Year with Frog and Toad
MTTP JR Production
The treasured characters from the children’s books and the beautiful Broadway musical hop from page to stage in this story of friendship and adventure.

Adapted from the three-time-Tony-nominated Broadway hit comes A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS. Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, the jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with melody. Part vaudeville, part make-believe, and all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons.
This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, the two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Broadway's timeless classic musical whisks you away to a place where dreams are born and no one ever grows up!

Based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris "Moose" Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. This high-flying Tony Award-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years and is now adapted for young performers.
Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, the fierce Brave Girls, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.
Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," and a rousing book full of magic, warmth and adventure, Peter Pan JR is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.

MTTP II Production

Stop the presses!
This Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit inspires everyone to fight for what's right and seize the day.

It's time to carry the banner! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!
Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message.
